Keeping A Clean Dental Office

Written By Dr. Kyle Griffith

These days, people everywhere are becoming more aware of their surroundings as to their safety and that of their families and loved ones. Yet not many think about the surroundings and safety features that must be put in place at the dental office to ensure that there is no disease cross-contamination for patients. At 58 Dental, our patients oftentimes comment on how our office appears to be "so clean."

We pride ourselves on our infection control program and the protocol we practice for each and every patient. We whole heartedly comply with all regulations from the Centers for Disease Control as well as OSHA to ensure that both patients and team members are given the utmost protection from harmful germs and diseases. We call it, practicing Standard Precautions. That means that no matter who comes into our office, we treat everyone as though they are potentially infectious. Knowing that should be a comfort to you and make you feel good! Before and after you leave our office, we make sure it is a sterile environment as much as possible, according to standards. We go above and beyond what you might think is necessary to ensure that you are safe from harmful "bugs." And it is appreciated by everyone!

In our office we are prepared to help dispel misinformation from various types of media, including social media. Oftentimes a scare tactic is used and people fear what they don't understand. We don't want that for our patients. We want you to be informed, so you can count on us to lead you down the path of truth regarding potentially infectious diseases. The potential epidemic from the Zika Virus is the latest in the news. When the West Nile virus had the population in fear, we were able to deliver correct information to our patients. We've answered questions and kept our patients informed regarding the Swine Flu (H1N1), Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Anthrax, Mad Cow Disease, and more. You can count on us to ensure that no matter what you hear, you can be correctly informed and will be as safe as possible when you visit our office. And as always, come in and see us so we can be of help to you!
